Indiana has a pivotal role to play in America’s future. Senator Bayh and Senator Lugar are still undecided on whether or not to support climate and energy legislation. We need to tell them that Hoosiers want a cleaner and safer environment, we want to avert the worst impacts of global warming, and we want the 45,000 clean energy jobs that we will gain through well-designed policy.

The Hoosier Environmental Council has joined local businesses, faith-based organizations, labor, environmental, and social justice groups to promote effective climate legislation. To unify this effort, we created PowerUP Indiana, a website that is focused on energizing the Indiana economy through clean energy jobs, securing our future, and sharing the advantages of renewable energy.
