Indiana Congressmen vote no on ACES
Jesse Kharbanda, executive director of the Hoosier Environmental Council, said the bill allocates allowances for heavy industry and promotes renewable energy, for instance wind, which uses large amounts of steel. He said the bill ends years of paralysis on climate change and is a "very strong start for very difficult legislation" because it sets a federal renewable energy standard, focuses on energy efficiency and mitigates global warming impacts.

EPA releases list of coal ash dumps
Yesterday the EPA released a list of 44 hazardous coal ash dumps across the nation. Coal ash dumps are something environmentalists such as myself have criticized the EPA for - Obama's administration had refused to release the list for a while. There is one dump in Indiana, near Lawrenceburg.
